FAQs

  • Why was Dream Machine postponed?
With the current Covid outbreaks in NSW, VIC and ACT and the subsequent border closures with QLD (including WA’s hard border), we are no longer able to host the destination festival you expect and deserve this October. Our team has been working tirelessly to make it happen, but there were too many factors going against us; with over half our guests from interstate, the inability to get most of the artists into Queensland and the health and safety of everyone at the event.
  • Why did we make the decision to postpone rather than cancel?
This is your holiday, we are not cancelling your holiday! And God knows we all need one. We are committed to this event and everyone involved, including our artists, team and all our suppliers. It has been an incredibly challenging year for the tourism, music and events industries, and by postponing the event we are ensuring they continue to survive these difficult times.
  • What are the new festival dates?
We are excited to announce Dream Machine will be held from the 26th Jan – 30th Jan 2022 as promised in the stunning Whitsundays.
  • Will the lineup remain the same?
We are currently in talks with the artists and most have confirmed the new dates. We are working through the final few, however should there be any scheduling conflicts, replacements will be made and advised soon.
  • Is my Dream Machine package valid for 2022?
Your Dream Machine package is automatically valid for the new festival dates, there is no need to do anything, we will send your revised confirmation as soon as possible.
  • What if I can’t attend the new Dream Machine dates?
While we’re sad you won’t be able to see what we have in store for you, we understand some of you won’t be able to make the new dates, if this is the case you will be entitled to a full refund.
  • When can I expect my refund?
Refunds won’t be processed until after the postponed festival dates in January. These will be processed immediately after the first day of the festival, however may take a few days to clear in your account.
  • How do I apply for a refund?
Email your Dream Machine travel consultant directly or [email protected] advising you can not attend the new dates and our friendly team will reply individually.
  • How will I be refunded?
You will receive two separate refunds, the initial $400pp through our ticketing supplier back to the card used to purchase and the remaining balance back to your bank account which your Dream Machine consultant will request details for.
  • Why does the refund take so long?
Funds don’t get released to us by suppliers until the postponed festival dates.
  • What if part of my group can’t attend the new dates?
If there are members of your party who can’t attend the new dates, we can do a name change on their package. If you can’t find a replacement, get in contact with your Dream Machine consultant and we will see what alternative options are available.
  • When do I have to let you know?
The cutoff is COB 30 September 2021.
  • What if the festival can not go ahead as planned for the new dates?
If the festival is postponed again due to border closures or Covid related restrictions you will be entitled to a full refund. But we anticipate by Australia Day we will all be able to enjoy paradise TOGETHER as planned.
